A secret passage
The three of you gaze around you. The screams drown on, not letting
up. You notice Barb running into a room.
" Barb, what are you doing?" you call over the screams.
" Look for a window! Maybe we can escape!" she screams.
Dave and you decide that if you split up, you can find a room
quicker and get out! Dave runs into what looks like a living room. You
head for the kitchen.
The musty kitchen looms around you. It reeks of age and you search
in vain for a window. Bars cover them.
As you search the last wall of the kitchen, you hear a clawing sound
dominating the screams. You swirl around and are so frightened you
pass out.
You open your eyes and gaze around you. The sun must have went down
long ago, since little can be seen. You notice a figure in the
doorway. You squint at it, to find it's Barb.
" Barb! What happened? Where's Dave? Wha-" then you stop.
You notice Barb is without an expression. She steps toward you, her
skin pale in the moonlight.
" Barb! What's wrong?" you say, backing up. You notice
Barb isn't bobbing from her steps. She looks like she's not stepping
at all!
Frightened, you back up against a wall. And tumble through! It's a
secret passage!
You land on the ground with a loud thump. You pick yourdelf up in
time to find Barb gliding down the passage.
