You exchange glances with Obi Wan, but are even more surprised at his
expression. He casts a warning look at you, as if to say 'Don't move a
muscle,' and looks back at the room. Now you notice what he did; there
are the "healers" mixed in with the teachers. They are
looking around menacingly. You shudder at the thought of what would
happen if they found you. You look at Obi Wan worredly, and he grins.
He nods to the far side of the room and raises his eyebrows
expectantly. Your worry turns to mischief as you remember all the
times when you both snuck out of lessons through the crack. You nod
and start toward the corner.
"In here!" you whisper, hearing footsteps. You can't tell
which way they are coming from, but somehow, you spot a door built
into the wall. You glance instinctively at Obi Wan, waiting for him to
cut open the door, but then remember his mangled arm. You take out
your saber sheepishly; you are used to Obi Wan always making the first
move, and now realize that he can't do anything. You deftly cut
through the flabby door and motion for Obi Wan to go through the small
opening. He smiles weakly at you and disappears through the wall. You
glance down the hallway, looking for the owner of the footsteps, and
hop through the door. You quickly turn around and re-seal the metal so
that it doesn't look like anyone even touched it. Proud of your
craftmanship, you turn around with a smug look on your face, but it
turns to shock when you see where you are. It is the temple, buzzing
with activity, people rushing around as if looking for something. Or
someone, you think with a shock. They must be looking for us! you
think excitedly.
