You talk to the figure
You say to Dave and Barbara "Look, it's probably just another
treasure hunter. Maybe he can help us." The three of you turn to
the figure, and you say to him "Hi! Are you hunting for the
treasure? We are!" The figure does not respond. He reaches toward
you and a few seconds later you black out. The last thing you hear is
Barbara screaming.
