Approaching the shop, you turn the knob and enter. Shelves
bedecked with odds and ends...weapons of heroes, scrolls of
knowledge, goods, and all sorts of stuff.
As you walk through the aisles, things fly to your hands by
enchantments. A long, rune marked staff, a cloak with a dragon
brooch, a lamp with matches, and a map marked with a layout of
the shop that changes with every step you take.
Approaching an umarked book at the back, you sit down in the
uncomfortable wooden chair and use the crystal to magnify the
words. They make no sense!
You slide the crystal, still magnifying the small print. When
the light of the solitary candle falls on the clear crystal, the
letters rearrange themselves into sense.
"Whoever Reads the Tome of Adventure Place the crystal of the
place you wish to visit And you will be there."
You scan the names. Castle Brandywynn sounds as good as any.
You place the crystal and are transported
to...
"OW!" you cry, picking up the sharp shard of crystal
around your neck. You hold it up to the light and all of a
sudden, magic erupts and you are bathed in its blue glow. You're
on fire! You're freezing! You're....amnesic. You can't remember a
thing about yourself. You know that you were once powerful...a
noble..princess? What? You walk out of the alley towards a small
shop with a light on.
