No one... Except that dragon up there...
Dave, too, is searching for the cause of Barbara's death... but he
finds it before you do. Without warning, the dragon swoops down from
the ceiling, grabbing Dave in a single claw. You stare in shock as the
dragon lands with a great crash on the wooden floor and transfers Dave
from its claw to its mouth. You hear his screaming, and see his
struggling and kicking, just seconds before the dragon closes its
eyes, tilts back its head, and swallows Dave. It steps forward, picks
up Barbara's body, tosses it into the air, and catches it in its
mouth. It chews thoughtfully as it looks at you. You stare at the thin
rivulets of blood trickling down its chin as it chews Barbara up, and
stare again at the bulge in its throat travelling down to its belly as
it swallows her. It starts to reach for you as well;
you...
Dave looks around. "Who could have done this?" he whispers.
You shake your head; you can't believe that anyone could just kill
Barbara like that. What kind of monster would do such a thing? Looking
around, you don't see any such monster. And a monster it would have
had to have been; Barbara was killed by a bite from something with a
huge mouth; you can see that much by the bloody tooth marks on her
clothing.
