It was the body of Old Man Jenkins, the school janitor! By the looks
of it, however, it wasn't the baseball bat that killed him. He had a
bullet in his forehead. A shrill laghter pierces the cold silence, and
you look around hoping to see the killer. It is too dark in the house,
so you find an old stick and light it with a lighter you always have
handy.
The house is old with dust everywhere. Luckily Old Man Jenkins was
the only body littering the floor; that means there is still hope for
Barbra. Dave is pale and looks like he is going to faint, but before
you can comfort him, you hear Barbra scream once more.
