Lots of kids with NO rythm tried dancing and were having fun. Some of
the students had on costumes, some did not.
Dave saw Barb, she looked beautiful. She was dressed up as a fairy,
she had glitter allover, and her stomach was showing. She wore a long
flowy skirt, and huge wings. Stop the record, cause he saw her dancing
with Scott.
Scott sucked.
He just did.
Anyways, Dave walked around the gym floor. He saw lots of people who
weren't dressed up either, so he felt a little better.
He stared at the stage and watched the band. He, being a guitarist,
made him somewhat a critic to other musicians.
Two hands reached around his face and covered his eyes.
"Boo!" Somebody said softly.
He turned around and stared into Barbara's eyes.
"Hey you..."He smiled.
A slow song started to play.
"Can we make this song the one we dance to?" She asked.
"Sure!" He said, smiling. Wonder if she's been thinking of
me, as much as I have been thinking of her, he thought. For some
reason she's being really nice to me.
They danced and talked quietly to each other.
"Remember that time I was at your house and we played on the
Slip-N-Slide?" Barb asked.
He nodded.
"Remember when I cut my hand on the hedge clippers that were in
your yard, after I slid down the mat?" She laughed.
"I remember" He said looking into her dark brown eyes.
"You kissed my hand to make it feel better.... and it did,
Dave.... you have always had a way with me." She smiled.
"Barb---"Dave said, trying to stop her from flattering him.
He was afraid he may get too flattered and try to kiss her. And he
knew Scott was around somewhere.
"Dave, I'm really sorry we haven't been close since that night. I
miss us. You were my first kiss, ya know?" Barb smiled.
"I was?! When!?"
She leaned in and kissed him, very slowly, and perfect.
When they pulled away, Dave was speechless.
Barb noticed how cute he was.
"I'm sorry, Dave."She said.
"No, its ok..."He said.
"Well...... Trick or Treat."She said pinching his arm and
walking away.
"Barb! Where are you going?" He asked.
"Song's over."She smiled broadly and walked off.
Dave stood there dumbfounded.
He turned around slowly and
POW!!!
He arrived at the dance, music was blaring.
