The odd book.
A few other items come to you. A sturdy knap sack, a belt with many
pouches full of spell components that you don't know what to do with
yet, and a sword that looks as if it has seen better days, but is
still servicable and trusty. As you reach the book, you notice that
there is a faded rune inlaid on the top that is a similar shape and
design to the crystal that you carry on your neck. You carefully open
the book, and can barely read the faded hand written print.
"This is a book of tyme", it states solumly. "All ye
whom read this, the book of power, need take in mind the import of the
subjects mentioned within.", it continued "You also must be
prepaired to act on the knowlege with care and haste, for it dost be
most important."
You read on. The book mentions spells of great power, mages,
betrayal, and finally what catches your eye most, a short paragraph
concerning a lost maiden who holds secrets of great importance. You
take the book, wrap it carefully in a soft cloth and store it away in
your knapsack for future reference.
