You get up, and begin making preperations for todays journey.
"Damon," you say as you bend over to pick up a bag lying on
the ground, "What exactly will we need for this trip to the
tower?" Damon looks at you, a blank expression on his face, and
says "I really don't know. My father, as you know, is a much
more powerful sorceror than myself. And he is about twice as powerful
as you and Veza working together. All you'll need, is bravery, your
magic book, and each other."
You look at Veza, and think to yourself about what a pain it will be
having to bring Veza along with you. As you sit there and think about
how awful this trek is going to be, you begin to come up with a scheme
to eliminate Veza. Although you share Damon's memory, you also have
you're own feelings. You're feelings for Veza come no where close to
Damon's. You decide that after you have retrieved Lance from Damon's
father, your next order of business will be to bump off Veza.
Suddenly, Damon interuppts your daydream with his words to you that
you must leave, now. With a sigh, you get up, take an apple off the
table where Damon is sitting, and head towards the door. Damon catches
you at the door and hands you a silver amulet. You know from having
Damon's memory that this had been a present from Lance. As you take
the amulet from Damon, you realize that you need no instructions of
what to do with it. You're perfectly in tune to Damon, and can tell
that Veza is not at all thrilled by this. Veza is behind you now
hugging Damon goodbye, while she turns to look at you with a quick
smirk.
You and Veza leave the cottage together, both a little irratated that
the other is accompaning you on this journey. When the cottage is no
longer in sight, Veza turns to you and says, "I hope you're happy
with this arrangement. You had to try to get your memory back and
while you were trying that, Lance was taken by Damon's father."
You don't like to argue and ignore Veza's comment, knowing from
Damon's memory that she won't bring it up again. As you and Veza
continue to walk, you begin to talk to her. You find out that she had
been abandoned by her mother and that she had found Damon and his
father when both her and Damon were 8 years old. They'd been
inseperable and Damon's father was the nicest man she had ever known.
Veza's eyes began to get teary as she told you about how Damon's
father went mad. It started slowly, at first adn then he rapidly went
down hill from their. He started hearing voices and kidnapping
children.
You begin to feel bad and say to Veza, "You don't have to talk
about it, I know what happened. I'm sorry, let's talk about something
happier."
You try to think of a happy subject, but without your own memory, you
find that it's hard to tell Veza something she doesn't already know.
You continue walking, but are beginning to feel hungary. You and Veza
turn of the main road and find a large Weeping Willow to sit under.
You begin to take food from your bag and see your magic book lying in
the bag, neglected. I never have finished reading my profile, you
think. You pull out your book and begin to
read.
You awake the next morning to Veza's remarks on how you're an ignorant
self-serving twit. "Well, well, well, the almighty sorceress has
decided to grace us with her presence," Veza remarks, as you
slowly sit up and look around. You see that Damon is sitting at a
table eating, and Veza is standing over you with a sneer on her face.
