It is getting dark and you are tired, Veza says that you should walk a
little longer, that way the journey tomarrow will not be as long, and
you'll have more time to plan before trying to rescue Lance.
You agree with her, and although your legs are screaming in pain, you
push on. After another hour of walking Veza annouces that you have
reached a suitable resting spot. Something from Damon's memory says
that this is not an ordinary spot. The feeling you get from this spot
is disturbing.
"Veza," you say,"Is this spot some how connected to
Damon?"
"I thought you'd be able to feel it, it's a very important spot
to Damon. There used to be a camp here. This is the spot where his
father first began teaching him magic. This is also the spot where I
was abandoned by my mother."
"Oh," is all you can say.
You and Veza begin to spread out two blankets that you where smart
enough to bring along with you. You also wonder why of all the places
that there are to stay along this path, did Veza decide to camp some
place that was so familiar to Damon's father. The feelings of
discomfort soon pass and before you know it you are sleeping
comfortably.
You and Veza hurry to finish your lunches and get on the road again.
To your suprise, you find that you are enjoying Veza's company and
that getting rid of her may not be such a great idea after all. As
you and Veza continue on your journey, Veza jokes and laughs about
being killed by Damon's father and Damon having no one. You think
that this is strange, Veza is supposed to be damon's girlfriend.
