While pulling and tugging at the bristles that hung onto her shirt,
Kerri spoke. "I saw a pond just a couple of miles away from here.
I stumpled upon it when I was making my way to you.
"Sure," you smile sheepishly, "I need a wash
myself."
You and Kerri start to gather the fishing pools and tackle. As you are
packing you notice how pretty Kerri looked. Not only her golden brown
hair and perfectly shaped body. But the way her crystal blue eyes
seeped into yours when she smiled. You shake your head in confucian.
Your only fourteen no time to worry about girls.
Kerri had captured your glimpse. "Anything wrong Josh?" She
asked with a worried glare on her face.
Gulping, you reply, "no, nothing at all."
Kerri's face started to lighten up. She grasped your hand without
saying a word. Kerri and you make your way through the grassy plains.
The trip was long, and every yard made your palms sweat even more.
Finally you see a big sparkling pond.
"We're here!" Kerri yelled. She dropped your hand and raced
to the fresh body of water. Your heart started to complete a normal
cycle again, before you notice how far away Kerri was from you. You
start to run to catch up with her.
The sunlight hit the water in a certian way. A way that the water
never spoke to you before. As you lay down, you start to fall asleep.
"Wake up, sleepy head," Kerri taps you on the shoulder.
Your eyes flutter open. Kneeling right beside you was Kerri. Her smile
was brighter then the sun. Slowly, you start to raise your head from
the gravel.
"How long have I been asleep?" You ask while you rub your
eyes.
"Apparently it has been a hour. I was waiting for you at the bed
of the pond when I notice you were gone. I thought you had to pee or
somethin'. But after fifteen minutes, I got kind of worried and
started to search for you."
"How did you know the time?" You ask.
"My watch, silly." Kerri pointed to her watch. Her hand
outstreched for yours. You took it gracefully and lifted yourself up.
You follow her to the other side of the pond. There the trees scared
off the sunlight.
"I don't know about you, but I'm taking these dirty clothes off
and take a bath."
You turn your head slightly, only to see the outline of Kerri removing
the crud off her perfectly shaped body. Slowly she slips into the
water.
"Josh!" Kerri yelled.
You turn around to make out a bobbing head.
"Are you ashamed about the way I look?" She asked with a
whine in her voice.
"No, not at all." You blush.
"Then why do you look away?"
"I don't know. Maybe because I never seen a nude female in real
life."
Kerri laughs. "Oh! Your silly!" she pauses for a moment.
" You know your just like Alex."
The name had stung you. Memories of Alex had shot into your ears. Oh!
How you could remeber that name. It was only last summer when you saw
him. Like any other summer day it was hot. You raced out of the house.
Having no time to say a final goodbye. For your only thought was to
get to Alex's house. He promised you that he would ride his bike with
you up to the store.
Your bike skidded into his driveway. Making your way up the steep
steps to reach the door. Alex smiled as he pushed open the door.
"You ready?" You ask impatiently.
"Yeah! Just let me get my bike helmet."
"No time for that, also it's about 90 degrees out here."
"Yeah your right! Let's get goin,' " Alex climbed onto his
bike. Leading the way, you had followed him through the busy streets.
You and Alex was about to make your way across the last crosswalk,
when all of a sudden a car had pullled in front of Alex. Knocking him
right of his bike. It was to late for your help. His head had already
dived right into the cement.
"No!!!!" you screamed.
Your hands vigorsouly wiped the tears away.
"Are you all right?" Kerri asked frightened.
"Yeah!" you sniffled.
"Look I'm sorry I made you sad. You got to know I was his
girlfriend at that time. Now why won't you remove those stinky clothes
and slip in here with me."
Head to toe was covered with dirt, mud, and leaves. Kerri tried to
wipe as much off as possible. Leaving the stains that would only come
out with soap and water.
