Traitor
"What did you do, Barbara?". Tears begin to well up in your
eyes as you eagerly anticipate her response. She looks as she is in a
trance. You grab her arm,still seems unshaken, " TELL ME! What
did you do, what did you mean by that. Who has David. What did
you...." you lose your voice as you look up the cascading
staircase in front of you.
You hold onto Barbara and you see the fear growing in her eyes. Her
lips quiver as she begins to speak " I was scared.." she
goes into a moment of silence. " I didn't know what I was saying,
I love David. I didn't mean it." Then you notice she has begun to
cry. She screams out against the cold harsh stone walls " Bring
him back, or take me with him. I am not afraid of you"
A chillly air begins to encircle the both of you. It feels as if it is
cutting off your very breath. As you look over to where Barbara stood
you notice a ominous shadow lurking beside her. As you reach out to
her, and the shadow you can't help but feel
....
You look at Barbara, something odd behind those eyes, a shiver chills
down your spine. You begin to hear screams sounding far away. Barbara
turns to you "W.where did he go? He was just hear.. I promise I
didn't mean it..." As you open your mouth to respond you hear
another scream. This time you immediately recognize it as David's.
