the Time Prophet
In front of you, the Time Prophet displays an image of Kai. His skin
is pale, his hair is pitch black, and he has a strange marking on his
right cheek. He is lying in a storage drawer with tubes in his body
that provide him with proto-blood.
The Time Prophet continues, "But after 2,000 years, Kai regained
his memory. And, along with Stanely Tweedle and Zev Bellringer of B3K,
escaped into the Dark Zone. His Shadow pursued them, but Kai killed
his former master. His Shadow's evil essence left his body and was
contained in a still-living brain. The time of the rebirth was at
hand, but first would come the Cleansing; it was the most gruesome of
deaths. The old, the young, the weak, the strong, the willing, and the
unwilling; all these were stripped of their flesh to feed the Rebirth.
All the meat, from the countless slaughtered souls, was fed into belly
of the cluster.
When you wake up, you are lying on the ground with fog surounding you.
"Hello," a voice says. "I am the Time Prophet. I can
more or less into the cycles of time. I know that in the future-past,
the Brunnan-G led humanity to victory in the Great Insect Wars.
Centuries later, the descendants of the Brunnan-G were exterminated by
his Shadow's Divine Order. And I know that Kai, the last of his kind
to die, had his life taken by his Shadow himself. His Shadow stole
Kai's memory, along with all the others that he killed. Kai's mindless
corpse was reanimated from time to time by proto-blood and he was used
as an assasin to his Shadow."
