*On your own...
You look around on the floor. There's no sign of blood.... You turn
back to the elevator. The doors are as secure as ever. You push random
buttons on the key panel by the elevator. It doesn't light up or
activate anything.
The castle is silent.
You try the other two doors upstairs. Locked. You mess with the
elevator panel again and try to pry apart the doors.
"DAVE! BARBARA!" There is no answer. It is up to you to save
your friends. You need a weapon ...or a means of escape.
You return downstairs and back to the kitchen. The remains of what you
dumped out of the drawers remain scattered all over the floor... Mouse
eaten dishrags and old rusty spoons. There is one more drawer and
inside you find several flashlights. The are the ancient metal kind.
You switch the first two on and nothing happens. The third rewards you
with a dim light....
There are no signs of a struggle. You never heard Dave cry out at
all..... Did he just let the old man take him away or did something
more sinister happen?
