You walk towards Barbara
The ghost says,
"You see,Barbara's family- for 6 generations has gotten lost in
the castle, then taken to the underworld. Don't worry-they all got
out- with the help of their friends..." she points to the 6
children, asleep on their chairs, their dirty plates in front of them.
You gasp. You don't want to end up like those poor kids... but you
don't want Barbara to, either. You so confused, so upset, so tired so
hungry... you gaze at the delicous-looking food in front of
you...maybe some good hot food would be nice... you pick up your fork,
then suddenly Barbara grabs it out of your hand..why? She already has
a plate of steaming food.. not eaten, any of it.
"Don't eat it!" She yells. "It'll make you fall
asleep!"
What? Your so hungry- a big pile of scrumptious food and Barbara tells
you not to eat it-she's silly. But Barbara wouldn't lie to you in a
situation like this?
As you approach Barbara you see the other 6 children around her look
very old-fashioned..weird..
As you sit down next to Barbara, you realize that all the kids are
asleep. Except Barbara, who, when is not looking absolutley terrified,
glares at any ghost she can.You must look confused, for a female ghost
with long grey hair, a fancy victorian-style dress, and several
strings of black pearls says,
"Dearie, you look awfully confused. And tired, and hungry. Make
yourself at home.Have some food. I'll explain"
Before you can reply a plateful of roast beef, mashed potatoes
dripping grave, bread,butter,cheese, salad, warm apple pie, a cool
glass of water, steaming vegetable stew, hot cocoa with a cinnamon
stick and several mini mallows, and finally, a candy apple -oozing
caramel from it's sides.
