Struggle
You get up and back away. You see the vines going for Dave's
unconscious body. You are now faced with another choice: help Dave and
risk capture by the living plants, or high-tail it into the
house?
You try to claw away as you violently kick your leg in hopes of
getting the vine off of you. It takes a lot of time and effort, but
eventually, your tactics pay off.
