"What information do you have for me?" You ask, studying his
expression.
"Well," he begins, "This is what I know. It seems that
the only person capable of doing this crie would be the Red, you know,
the caper. Anyway, I noticed that, although there was a piece of red
clothe left behind, the job was too clean for it to have been
mistakenly left there. Someone wanted the clothe to be found."
As you listen you realize that the guard is telling you information
that you'd already figured out a few hours previous. But you continue
to lissten in case he has a new lead.
"At first I thought that since the Red Caper couldn't be the
thief it must be someone else who had axcess to the museum, and a free
run of the place. The only person I found, who fit that profile was
the mayor. But then I..."
suddenly he's interrupted by a loud crash as some cans fall to the
floor. He hear footsteps rushing away.
The guard looks stricken. He quickly hands you a letter. "Read
this." he whispers urgentl, "It'll tell you all you need to
know. I trust you can put the pieces together." and with that he
leaves the room.
You stare at his retreating back. How calm he looked when you first
walked in, but now he looks shaken. You ponder the previous minutes as
you tap the envelope.
You wait round for a half hour and then sneak down to the eeting spot.
Once you get there you see the quard. You notice he's middle aged and
seems to be very sure of himself. Although he has information for you
he doesn't appear to be in fear for his life. You walk towrd him.
