Look closely at the tree.
Suddenly- there is a bright flash and a deafening WHAM. Another
lightning bolt! You are thown into the stone wall by the blast. What
is happening?
You look at the tree in a daze. It is a splintered wreck. The trunk
is thicker than your body; it could have easily killed you. The
trees' branches, covered in blue leaves, lay all along the alley where
you're sitting. The tree had been standing on the other side of the
wooden fence that ended the alley. Now that fence is flattened.
