"Nice ship...too bad for you it's parked on our dirt." The
group chuckled, except for the robed figure.
Qui Gon turns to full face the ensemble, lifting a hand to silence Obi
Wan, who was just about to issue a retort.
"There is a terrible amount of open ground on this planet. How
can you hold such a claim to this particular spot?"
The woman smirks, hand drifting close by the blaster holstered at her
right thigh in a gunslinger fashion. Obi Wan tensed and went for his
lightsaber, but his hand was caught by Qui Gon's.
"No! There is no need for violence here." Then, to the
woman, "If this area is so important to you and
your...associates, we shall simply move our ship."
"I'm afraid it's not that simple, jedi." The woman laughed,
causing the others to laugh. The robed figure, however, started moving
towards the jedi slowly. Something about him struck Obi Wan as evil,
and Qui Gon felt it too, frowning as he took a small step back and
placed his hand on his lightsaber.
The figure lifted his hand and pulled back his hood, revealing a Kel
Dor's face mask and goggles.
"My second in command, Rath Sul, will ensure you remain here
while we search your vessal for valuables worthy enough for our fee
for landing here."
Before Obi Wan or Qui Gon could react or speak another word the Kel
Dor extended both arms towards them and then threw them back, yanking
them off their feet and throwing them behind him with a surprisingly
strong pull of the force. Both jedi landed in rolls to their feet and
activated their sabers, watching the group that had how circled around
them. Rath Sul seemed to chuckle behind his mask before throwing off
his cloak. His attire was a black combat uniform with a leather vest,
and at his sides were two identical lightsaber hilts which he now drew
and ignited. The two jedi glanced around, trying to make a plan of
action.
They look to her and her companions as they too emerged from the dust
cloud. There were five of them, four looking to be gruff spacers like
the woman, possibly ex-military...but the last in the back wore a
black hooded robe, face hidden within the cowl's shadow. The woman
glanced at the Calstair, nodding approvingly.
