Turn back
You turn around and see that Joe has found you. He's standing there,
(well, floating really) with a wide grin, that seemed to be a white
tear in the fabric of his face.
Then you realise that there are other parts of him that are white.
And not just white, but opaque. His shoulders, chest, face, hands and
feet, are all white, and solid as the stone of which this passage was
made. He's a poltergeist.
But as you watch, he sprouts a long forked tail and curved horns.
The white turns red and a halo of black fire hovers above his crown.
His hands and feet become clawed, and his face changes. Still with
that white, toothy smile, but his eyes become white orbs and his ears
and nose are pointed. The young, childish face ages rapidly, and the
smooth hair retreats into his bare, golden skull.
As Joe moves towards you, you feel a terrible cold and sense of
doom. You see Barbara and Dave there, seeing you trapped in the closed
passage with a demon advancing on you, utterly helpless to stop him.
You turn to Barbara as darkness closes on your vision, swallowing your
life. You look straight into her eyes, and say to her,
'Run! Run away and get out of the castle as fast as you can! Don't
let Joe catch you! Run! RUN!'
