His one source of encouragement was his teacher and best friend, Yoda.
Yoda knew Pleu's family for a long time, and he understood Pleu's
problem. He worked with him for years strengthening the little bit
that Pleu had, making it great. When Pleu was down, he could hear
Yoda's words of wisdom: "Lose faith, you must not. Give up,
never you must do. Believe in yourself." He remembered the last
phrase the most fondly of all. Whenever Yoda spoke plainly and
ignored riddles, his words contained an inexplainable power that all
Jedi listen to.
Yoda was right. Pleu kept believing. Then one day, their was the
miracle.
Long ago in a galaxy far, far away (I always wanted to say that!)
there was a family. The father was a Jedi, but not your common Jedi.
His name was Pleu, and he only really had a small touch of the Force.
Granted, the Force is something you either have or you don't, but some
have more of it than others. All the Jedis in Pleu's family had a
mild Force. They could see visions (short ones, maybe once every two
months), sometimes be able to lift pepples with their mind, and they
had the ability to use a lightsaber (but they couldn't tell when the
fatal blow was coming, like many Jedi can). Pleu had the smallest
amount of Force in all Jedi history. Some Jedis teased him, calling
him the "Jedi Squire," or they claimed his name must mean in
some alien tongue "insignificant" or something even worse,
but Pleu knew it didn't. There were times he wondered why he worked
in the alliance at all.
