Speak to the Dogwood

so you wander over to the howling tree and pet some of the flowering dogs, in an attempt to soothe the tree. You say, "There, there. Good boys, ummm, good girls!"

The dogs continue to whine, howl, and bark. You notice they keep looking down, so you begin looking for whatever it is they think is bothering them.

Everything appears normally strange or strangely normal for wherever you are, so you walk behind the dogwood and find a catnipping plant chomping down on the roots of the dogwood tree.
