Run after the mayor
"Can I help you detective?" she says in that incredibly
annoying voice. It sounds like she's a mule fighting off a bad cold.
You think quickly.
"I just wanted to appologize for being so blunt earlier,"
you managed to muster in a sincere voice. You knew that you probably
didn't say that with a straight face. However, she seems surprised.
She straightens her glasses and thanks you.
"Wow, I've been mayor for fifteen years and this is the first
time some one flat out apologized to me," Mayor Nelson said,
"Do you have any time? I want to talk to you about
something..."
You decide to follow the mayor. After all, she was probably witholding
some kind of important information. After all, she seemed quite
impatient and in a rush. You catch up to her and put your hand on her
shoulder. She turns around so fast, the bottom of the back of her
dress is still in front by the time she gets to you.
