You choose the smallest of the two buildings
Holding the lantern high, you peer into the blackness
ahead. As your eyes adjust, you notice a dim glow
far within the tunnel. You begin to walk slowly down
the corridor. The farther you travel into the tunnel,
the brighter the distant light grows.
A prickley feeling at the back of your neck tells
you that you are being watched. You cautiously
look around...there is nothing but darkness surrounding
you, so you continue on.
Then...
Once the creaking door opens, you find it is an
entrance to a branch of the cave. On a narrow
shelf to the right of the dooris a lantern and
a small matchbox containing three matches. You
light the lantern and stuff the box into your pocket.
