"The gods let him return," said Gariath, "but he was
returned as a newborn baby, a reincarnation. We are immortals-"
"Really?!" you ask, "Wow! That's wonderful! So you
can't die?"
"Not of natural causes, anyway," explained Hiraea, "but
we can be slain. We were put on earth by the gods to find the
Warrior's reincarnation, and to train him again. Up until now, he has
assumed the form of a boy, but this time, he is a girl."
"So how do you know it's me?" you ask.
"We can always tell the Warrior by his black eyes. You are the
only one we have found with that characteristic. Now, it is your time
to defend the kingdom against any evils. But first, we must test you
to see if you really are the Warrior."
Gariath hands you a golden dagger. "You must travel into the
darkest part of the forest. There, you will find a small rabbit with
fur of gold. You'll know what to do."
You take the dagger and set off into the
forest.
"A thousand years ago," Hiraea begins, "There was a
young man who fought injustices in the kingdom. He was often called
the Warrior of the Woods. Because of him, the kingdom was entirely
safe for his whole lifetime, but one day, he died of old age. On his
way to the gates of heaven, he asked the gods if he could return to
Earth to ensure the safety of the kingdom."
