As you open your eyes you notice that you are still under the water,
but something isn't right... you are breathing!
You look around yourself in amazement and see many beautifuly
colored fish swimming around you. As they pass, they seem to look at
you and want to speak to you, but they can't stop for some reason.
Convinced that you are still in bed dreaming you decide to go along
with this. So you think to yourself 'I know... I'll follow the fish!'
As you follow them you notice they seem to be falling behind to get
a good look at you, then they start to move faster.
Finally the fish split up in two directions, but they do this to
quickly and you proceed forward.
You arrive at a large castle and find your way to the doors. They
open and you go inside. You make your way to the back room and see
Neptune in a throne. He points in your direction as he talks.
"You, you are the first to do what you have done, and you
shall live here with me!" Neptune says in a thundering voice.
"But I can't," you reply. "I already have a life on
land!"
"I see," Neptune says as he looks down at the floor. You
can hear the disappointment in his voice. "Then I shall send you
back," he continues. "An I shall let you keep your wonderful
gift."
You open your eyes and feel your best friend shaking you.
"Hey, you're okay!" He screams with excitement.
"It's a good thing you washed up on shore."
Your friend helps you up and you start to walk home. You feel a
sore spot on your neck so you instinctively rub it. You feel little
flaps and you realize what they are... GILLS!
As you cross the rickety old bridge you feel someone touch your
shoulder, you jump.
"Relax... it's just me," says your best friend.
You continue across the bridge and you hear your friend's voice as
he points over your shoulder, "Hey, keep an eye out... there are
a few boards missing up ahead"
You nod, heeding your best friends warning you move along,
concentrating on what's ahead of you so you don't slip. You spot some
more missing boards up ahead... but you believe in yourself and think
you can make it across.
"Hey, you see those up ahead?" Your friend asks.
"Yeah, I do," you respond. You continue on not realizing
that what your friend had pointed out was only two feet ahead of you.
You slip, and fall out from under the bridge.
