Go in
You enter the shack, wondering what you'll find there. One inside, you
see Kerri, all bundled up in blankets and sipping hot cocoa. You see a
merry fire burning in the hearth. Beside Kerri, you see an old woman,
stirring more hot cocoa. It could be poisoned. But you never can tell
with chocolate.
"Ah, I knew you would decide to come in. You see, I am Moodara,
the great and magical revealer. I put that chest in the lake on earth
so some child would find it, come here and keep me company. I looked
into the future, and saw you two. I knew you would find the chest. I
sent my unicorns out to give you two a ride here, so you wouldn't have
to wander around in the woods all night. Dear, could you shut that
door, please? Thank you. As I was saying, I sent my unicorns out to
fetch you. Now here you are. Oh, and another reason I wanted a child
is because, well, to tell the truth, I won't live forever, and I need
someone to carry on in my place." she explains.
"You mean us?" Kerri asks.
"I mean you." Moodara replies.
You are about to ask,"Is that hot cocoa for me?" when there
is a loud BOOM BOOM BOOM on the door.
"Oh, will one of you get that? I can't walk very well, you
know." Moodara says.
"I'm certainly not getting that." Kerri says.
It's up to you to open the door.
You think,"Well, where else could I go, anyway? I might as well
go in."
