You remember all you read about the accident. You suggest stopping at
a restaurant up ahead for a quick bite. It isn't like she has
anything to do for a while. She says that sounds like a good idea.
You stop. She goes in while you wait in the car and eat your bag
lunch leftovers. It feels like ages before she returns. You open her
door and she climbs in. Shut it and go to the driver's seat. You
turn on the car and check the clock, then smile. It's past the time
of the accident. You drive her safely back to her home and feel
relieved. She says, "It's a good thing my driver was sick
today...he never would have suggested that restaurant!" She
laughs, and you do, too.
Well, what have you learned? Simple. You can change the past. You
idly reach into your pocket and feel something warm. You pull it out
andfind the ticket. Time to wish yourself to somewhere else you can
be useful...
You wish with all your might that you could be in the car with
Princess Diana before the crash. Your eyes are shut tight. You open
them and quickly realize something important...you're driving a car!
You focus on the road ahead for some minutes, then risk a glance in
the rearview mirror and gasp. Princess Diana is sitting in the
backseat. You focus back ahead quickly.
