Keep looking
After about fifteen minutes you see a light ahead. It seems like a
fire. you can tell that there are many people up there, so you press
on. You see the gathering in a clearing up ahead. It seems rather
rowdy, so you creep up and peek out from the bushes. The people
gathered aren't people at all! they are strange creatures, part human,
part animal. They seem to be dancing around a large pole set up in the
center. You look up at it and gasp. Kerri is tied to the pole. She is
gagged with her own scarf. The creatures have arranged a large pile of
wood under her feet. They are carrying large torches. They are going
to burn Kerri at the stake!
You've got to do something, but what?
You have to find Kerri. You climb down from the tree and head back
towards the are a where you left her. She is nowhere to be seen. After
a few minutes of searching, you notice something lying on the ground.
You stoop down and pick it up. It's Kerri's purse! She must be in
trouble. You become aware of a sound in the distance. It is a low
rumbling noise, almost like a gathering of people. You follow the
noise through the forest. It gets louder and louder as you move on.
