You get home. Nobody is home, but you spot a little note on your
refrigerator. Mom always clips notes on the fridge for you. It reads:
Sorry, honey. I'll be home soon. Could you please go downtown and pick
up a quart of milk from ACME? Thank you.
See you soon,
Mom
You laugh. The 'vision of the future' had you downtown. Then again,
you were wearing the same clothes in the vision as you were now. Could
the vision be real? Maybe you should stay home. You can shove the note
under the refrigerator and say you never saw it. Then again, it sounds
rediculous. There was no magic, but just to be on the safe side...No.
That was stupid. A magical metal showed you your death?
You can't decide. Do you stay, or do you go
downtown?
You look around on the dusty road. The sun causes you to sweak
buckets. "The sun," You laugh, "the sun is playing
tricks on me. There's too much heat." You laugh, and continue
walking down the road, sliping the metal into your pocket. Who knows?
Maybe that scrap steal could be valuable. After all, you've never seen
it before...
