Lush, green vegitation surrounds you. A small cobblestone bridge
connects two pieces of land divided by a stream. Beyond the minature
bridge is a trail of stones leading up to a tall tower. An unseen
force tugs at the metal sheet again, and it is yanked from your
pocket. It hovers in midair, and then floats over to the tower. You
have to follow it. It make be your only ticket home, wherever that is.
The wooden doors at the bottom of the tower open, and close when you
and the metal enter it. A large statue is in the middle of the main
room. A staircase is behind it. You seem to be hypnotized by a spell,
and let go of the steel slab. You snap back to reality, grabbing hold
of the metal once more. "Wait? What am I doing here? The car must
have knocked me unconcious. Is this a dream. Oh please, don't let me
be dead!"
The stone drifs over to a small slot in the base of the statue.
Several other subsances occupy other indents on the base. You grab
onto the metal before it reaches the only empty hole. "If this is
real, send...me...home!" You cry. You grab onto the metal with
all of your strength, but the power also holding onto it is too great!
You finally pull the object free from the invisible force and fall
backwards.
A tall, hooded figure comes down from the staircase. He extends an arm
towards you. He seems to be using mental powers to take the metal with
strange ingravings from you. "Give me back the metal ore!"
He speaks in a strange, unknown accent. "I must revive it's
master."
The metal heats up, buring at the skin on your hands, but you do not
let go! "What master?" You ask, wincing in pain. "You
mean the statue? Aw, who cares. Take me home!"
The man in robes unveils his hood. A young man in round specticals
looks back at you. "You don't need to know, fool! Now give me the
charm!" He raises his hand and chants. A ring of fire surrounds
you! He wants the mystical item back really badly, but he could use it
for evil. Maybe he'll use it for good, and send you home. You need to
take the risk. Give it or hold on to it?
Before you can fall back, a white light engulfs you, and your
surroundings are blurred. An invisible force tries to force the metal
out of your pocket. You keep it from pulling the metalic sheet from
you. Your backround moves once more, and you end up face-first in
unfamiliar territory.
