The shark swims past
And the shark swims in a slow circle around you, sniffing first at
you, then at Kerri. You stand shocked as Kerri starts to pet the
shark, scratching it on the top of the head, and again as the shark
closes its eyes and begins to purr softly like a cat.
"Kerri..." you say slowly, not worrying about why you seem
to be able to speak underwater, "didn't you see what... what that
thing did?" She smiles and says calmly, "Don't worry, we're
in no danger- it's a big man-eating shark, as you can see, so it eats
big men. It's not dangerous at all." Deciding to trust her logic,
you try rubbing its belly; the shark seems to like it, but you
suddenly realize that you can feel the shark's victim struggling
inside. With a gasp of horror, you jerk your hand away. "What's
wrong?" asks Kerri. About to reply, you realize that she looks a
bit strange. Her face is a bit white, and her eyes seem strangely
piercing, and her smile is practically... predatory...
What are you going to do now?
To your surprise, the shark swims right past you. You turn around to
watch it, your scare having caused you to break into a cold sweat, and
you suddenly notice a big man, which the shark is swimming directly
toward. He tries to swim away, but the shark is far too fast; as a
last defense, he throws his arms up in front of his face, but the
shark opens its mouth wider and wider until, with one bite, it
swallows the big man whole. The shark then turns around and starts
swimming right toward you. Too scared to move, you stay where you
are...
