There is one other option, you realize. You remember you have a small
Shell in your pocket that Kerrie has always admired. You were going to
give it to her for her birthday, but, if it keeps you from being
eaten, you're willing to try it. So, in a calm hopefully soothing
voice, you say
"Kerry, I have something for you. It's a surprise, though,
so you have to close your eyes. Keep them closed until I tell
you..."
you set the small conch shell down, start swimming upwards, and,
when you are climbing out of the tank, you yell
"okay, open your eyes!" then quickly run back towrds
the boat. But, before you are even a yard away from the tank,
something happens...
