Insulted, you throw the jewel and it shatters when hitting the ground.
Angered by the jewel's remark, you fling it with all your might. It
shatters and a high pitched scream fills the air for just a split
second. Then everything is quiet.
For a moment you just stand there awkwardly, thinking about what
you just did. "I killed my guide!" you think brokenly.
You're remorseful, even if you had a bad feeling about it in the first
place.
But as you turn to leave, a dark shadow moves to block your path.
"Not so fast," the voice of the jewel hisses from the depths
of the shadow. "You've destroyed my only way out of here! You
will suffer!"
