Kerri comes up behind you and shakes her head, "All we need is a
wolf to huff and puff and blow it down."
"Well I don't exactly see a roaring fire over there," you
retort.
Kerri blushed and looked at her tennis shoes, "I need a little
help."
You grin and shake your head, "Are you asking me for help?"
Kerri glares at you, her eyes flashing dangerously, "If you are
going to rub it in I can do it myself."
"All right, all right. You fix this shelter and I'll light the
fire."
You have a roaring fire in a matter of minutes, and go back to watch
Kerri. She has transformed your shack into what resembles a lean-to.
The temperature has dropped drastically, and the two of you huddle by
the fire. The only food you have is four granola bars. You split one
with Kerri and resolve to find food the next day. Finally, Kerri
yawns and crawls into the shelter. You fall asleep by the
fire.
You and Kerri head back to the beach. At least nothing can creep up
on you without you seeing it first. Now that the shock of the
different planet is over, you try to figure out how to set up camp.
First, you salvage whatever wood you can from your wrecked boat. You
separate it into two piles...one for firewood and one for making a
shelter. While Kerri struggles with the flint and steel, you
construct a rather shaky hut.
