Something saves you...
You can't see what saved you because you pass out from lack of oxygen.
When you awaken, there is a beautiful girl holding you up in the
water.
You try to speak, "H- h- h" You can't you're still too weak.
Somehow she knows what you were going to say. "Oh that's an easy
one. I'm a mermaid silly!"
You look at her in shock. A MERMAID?! What?!
NO WAY!!!
She can tell by you're look that you doubt her. "I'll show
you... Here... I'll put you on this rock, hold on tight now. Humans
always get into DEEP trouble when they try to swim here, only mermaids
and DRAGONS can swim here without the fear of drowning."
She puts you on the rock, and you hold on for your life.
She shows you that she's a mermaid alright!!! She dives into the water
and you see a glimse of a tail, before she disappears. Then she jumps
out of the water to show you, in full, that she is a mermaid.
Her tail shimmers emerald, like the water, in the light. You look in
astonishment.
"Told ya I was a mermaid, next time believe me."
"Oh I will."
"So where are you headed? And don't mind my asking, where are
you from, you look nothing like the humans around here. In fact you
are more handsome than any of the kings around here, just don't tell
them I said that, or they'll have me head."
You blush, "Well I'm from America, umm I'm not really heading
anywhere really. I just kinda found myself here recently and I don't
know how to get back home."
"America? What's that?"
"Oh it's my home. It's alot like this place only we don't have
any open spaces yet, it's all crowded and there isn't any green
left."
She looks sad. "No green? Oh."
"You never told me your name." You cleverly change the
subject.
"Oh I'm sorry my name is Meri. What is yours?"
"My name is ______ (*insert your name here*)"
As you are having a lovely conversation with Meri, a large Red Dragon
comes to bathe in the water. Meri screams.
"What is it?"
"It's Crimson the Terrible. He's the meanest, most dangerous
dragon around here. He's killed many of my family, in fact he's
killed everyone except me."
"Oh my! That isn't very nice is it? What should we do?"
"I don't know but I have to get out of here and fast, he's
looking for me."
