When you reach Dave's house you tell Dave to wait a minute. The sound
of a soft whistle whisps through the air. The weather was starting to
take a chill. You wrap your arms around yourself and follow Dave into
the house.
Sweet aromas feel the air as you open the door. You pull out a chair
and take a seat right beside Dave. As soon as you settle down the
telephone rings.
"I'll get it." Dave's mother walks into the kitchen and
picks up the reciever. In the distance you hear her murmur to the
person on the other line. She walks back into the diningroom with the
reciever clasped in her right hand. "Had you guys seen Barbara
tonight? She hasn't seem to come home yet."
You feel the muscles tense up in your back.
You decide to leave without Barbara. She was the one who got
herself in this mess in the first place. You climb onto your mountain
bike and peddle down the dirt rode behind Dave.
