You try to get away
Then you start to think about why you started to run in the first
place. "What do you mean he woke up?!" you say, still
breathing hard, "He was dead when we checked his wallet! He can't
be alive!"
"But he was!"screeched Dave. "I was walking out behind
you guys, and all of the sudden I realized that I had left my
flashlight back in the room. I decided to quick run back and get it,
and then catch up with you. But when I came to the door of the room, I
looked in and saw the same guy kneeling down, examining my flashlight.
He had his head turned away from me, and he seemed to growling or
something. When I saw him, I frieked out, and came running after you.
I don't know if he saw me or not, but he has to know that we were
there, because of the light. And he's bound to find out sooner or
later that his map is gone!"
"Now let's be calm about this," said Barbara. "Here's
what we'll do..."
After running for about 5 full minutes without stopping, you and
your companions come to a crashing halt directly in front of an
immense oak tree. You decide that it would probably be alright to stop
for a few minutes, because, if that guy had been alseep, he probably
wouldn't be able to you. Unfortunately, from what you saw of him, he
seemed to be in very good condition, so this break would have to be a
short one.
