"I - "
You pushed him off, and struggled to get up.
"I'm sorry, it - "
"Troublemaker," the boy muttered.` You flared up at once,
although you tried to keep your cool.
"I'm sorry about everything, it was a mistake - I just - "
"Never mind," the boy said huffily.
"Goodness......."
He brushed himself off, shook his head and cast you a dark look before
heading away.
"Look - wait - !"
The boy had forgotten the shiny brown object!
As you hurried to catch up to him, a middle-aged lady showered a bunch
of roasted peanuts onto the ground by accident.
"Watch out!"
You couldn't stop quite fast enough, and ended up slipping on the
peanuts that now covered the whole path.
"Ow!" you cried, clasping a hand to your leg. You gave an
aggravated sigh, and looked up. The boy was nowhere to be seen.
"Oh, I can't believe my LUCK," you grumbled.
Suddenly, the boy that you slapped earlier appeared at your side.
"You alright?" he asked in a rather gruff voice.
"I'm fine," you said firmly, although that wasn't true. You
hoisted yourself up onto your feet, but then stumbled and had to be
helped up by him.
"Here, I'll escort you to a dai fu nearby," he said,
starting to help you down the street.
What happens next?
You peered closer at it. It was not, as you thought, the Time-Turning
thingy. Instead of glowing brightly in your hand when you retrieved
it, it simply stayed the same. Further inspection proved it to be an
ordinary piece of metal.
