Other than this pet peeve, Anonymous, I both understand and appreciate
your attempts to better this website (however sadly overlooked they
may be).
If you had not known the gender of the author of the penultimate page,
Anonymous, you ought to have said 'he or she'. However, I cannot
imagine a male named Gretchen, so unless you know of one, you really
ought to have said 'she'.
