Water
When you reach the mist, you stop and consider it for a moment. Is it
real? You can feel the stray droplets as they hit your skin. You can
hear the water behind the mist, but the ground around it isn't even
moist.
You decide to investigate anyway. You step into the mist.
When you look up you are in a very dark place. It is so dark that you
can't see your hand in front of your face. You find that your clothes
feel as dry as they did out side of mist. You can't feel anything in
any direction, and you can't find the way you come.
Suddenly, you see a light over to the side. As you get near it, you
can see it a candle. It's just floating. The light it produces doesn't
go far before it is consumed by the darkness. As you approach the
candle, you hear a faint roar. The noise gets loader as you get closer
to the candle. By the time you reach the candle the noise is
unbearable.
Suddenly, the candle goes out. Not gets blown out. It just goes out.
Then, the floor under you gives. You find yourself falling in the
darkness.
Where will you land?
You decide to go find out about the water. You get up and start
walking over to the waterfall.
