The room is dark. You wait again, for your
eyes to adjust. You hear little scurrying sounds.
Alas, you did not escape those rats. What kind
of diseases do they carry, you wonder. Well,
you suppose you'll find out soon enough, on
a more personal level than you would like.
You realize foggily that things do not look
good for you. And then, a door on the other side
of the room begins to open, admitting a streak
of dim, tired light into the room. You begin
to make out your surroundings.
With a burst of energy you didn't know you had,
you lift yourself up into the window, and spill
into the room. You have to wait a few seconds
for your head to clear.
