Captain Scott Brown won the toss, and Celtic choose to kick off first.
A light pass by Anthony Stokes is cleared upfield by young centre
midlfielder Jack Rodwell. Belgian Left sider Adnan Januzaj controls
the ball and beats centre half Kirk Broadfoot, sending a driving ball
into the box, a light header by Anthony Stokes is caught by 'keeper
Arthur Boruc and threw upfield.Agressive denfensive midfielder,Joey
Barton, controls the ball and sends a bullet through ball to skillfull
right midfielder Michael Antonio, who with a few step overs beats LB
Jean Beasujour and curls a ball into the box. Headered outside the 25
yard box by Charlie Mulgrew,however attacking midfielder Nick Powell
smashes the ball and it goes flying into the top corner past keeper
Frazier Forster. The Rangers fans go crazy with delight, the Celtic
fans are furious with there no.1 . The play restarts and Adnan Januzaj
goes on a skill run, skinning all of the Rangers players and being
brought down viciously in the box by Rangers centre half Steven
Caulker, the crowd goes crazy, but fortunately a penalty is
given.Right on the stroke of half time, Celtic centre forward Anthony
Stokes steps up for the spot kick. He plants it hard and DISASTER
strikes, Arthur Boruc gets a finger to it, sending it out of play. A
quick corner is took by Celtic wideman Suso, who curls a ball into the
box, however Celtic centre-back, Michael Dawson sends it over with his
head. After Arthur Boruc smashes the ball upfield, referee Mike Dean
blows his whistle for half time.
