Old Firm Derby -Part 4
The free kick is approximately 28 yards out and Rangers wideman James
McLean fancies his chances. He curls the ball over the Celtic wall, it
looks like a certain goal, however Frazier Forster leaps across his
net and parries the ball away, it falls to the feet of Celtic wideman
Kris Commons who nutmegs Lee McCulloch and goes on a storming run down
the right hand side, makes a mockery out of Rangers CB Steven Caulker
and had a hopeful shot at goal, it curls past Arthur Boruc and into
the bottom left corner of the Rangers goal. 1-1 Celtic had equalised,
the travelling Celtic fans went absolutely ballistic with joy,in the
seventy third mintute Celtic had found the equalizer against their big
rivals Rangers. Rangers kicked off again, Nick Powell sending a ball
down the left hand side the James McLean who darted down the wing and
attemped to send a ball into the box however it was blocked and
cleared upfield by Adam Matthews. Kris Commons controlled the ball and
darted down the wing,time was ticking it was the 89th minute so he had
to be fast. He crossed a high ball in the air and BOOM Anthony Stokes'
bullet header went flying past Arthur Boruc and into the back of the
net. Celtic had done it they had won the cup, their fans went crazy
with joy. As soon as Kenny Miller smashed the ball up the pitch Mike
Dean blew his whistle, Celtic fans went mental, Rangers fans were
devastated. Then the cup was brought out onto the pitch and Celtic
skipper Scott Brown lifted it with joy ! Then the fans were buzzing to
get out the ground to fight...
