15 years flew by and Qui-Gon was ready for the Jedi Trials. He bid
Rayna his last goodbye when she was tending to her flowers in the
garden.
"You know about the Trials don't you?", Qui-Gon said one
afternooon.
"Far too well. Will I ever see you again?", Rayna stood up
and looked at him.
"It's up to the Force. But I will think of you every day. You
will always be in my heart", Qui-Gon said, full of emotion.
"Then go. You know what's more important. We can never be
together. You've always known that. Why pretend?", Rayna said,
shaking with anger.
"I've always known, but that has never changed my feelings for
you, Rayna." Qui-Gon said.
"Just go!", Rayna cried as she pushed him away.
Qui-Gon grabbed hold of her and gently kissed her forehead as she
struggled to get away from him.
She stopped hitting him and began to sob.
"I've always hated to think of our last farewell. Tell me that
you'll always remember our good times." Rayna said.
"Always." Qui-Gon whispered.
A few minutes later, he kissed her forehead again and slowly let go of
her.
She slowly watched him leave the garden and when she was sure he had
left, she began to cry again.
Rayna and Qui-Gon were soon parted because he had to train as a Jedi
but he visited Rayna often and, when he had the time, he taught her a
bit of his Jedi training.
