With strains of effort mixed with pain, you lift one of your legs and
place it on the stump and with your cane u lift your torso and push
your body over the fence and land with a clump of arms and legs on the
grass.
Instantly, pain fills your whole body and you lie there, waiting for
it to go. You calm down, as the feeling comes back into your body,
except for your legs. As the pain subsides in your legs, they start to
go tingly, and within a few seconds, they are completely num.
You decide to go and check out the fence. Using the cane, you limp
over to the fence. It looks pretty old with loose boards swaying in
the wind and some broken pieces of wood lying on the floor. It isn't
very high so you decide to climb over it, with assistance from your
cane and the stump of an old tree, planted in the ground next to the
fence.
