Suddenly, a warning siren goes off. You rush to a nearby computer, and
log in. There is a message flashing on the screen:
WARNING: THE JEDI TEMPLE IS UNDER ATTACK BY SITH!! ALL MASTERS,
KNIGHTS, AND SENIOR STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO THE ENTRANCE READY FOR
BATTLE!
You and your friend Obi-Wan exchange a glance. You both feel a little
fear, excitement, and surprising calm. You grab your lightsabers and
head off. at the door stand two sith. The Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn
walks up to you. Qui-Gon says that you three (Obi, himself, and you)
will take the Master. You draw your sabers and the battle begins. The
Sith master runs away and so does his apprentice. You , Obi-wan, and
Qui-Gon walk back to the entrance and are surprised to see that many
Jedi are dead. You look frantically for anyone you know.
Qui-Gon walks up to you and puts a large hand on your shoulder.
"It's horrible," you whisper.
"It always is," Qui-Gon says. You look down and across the
hall, you notice a familiar face. You gasp and your insides crunch
together with fear. Qui-Gon gently guides you towards them. "This
is a big test of your courage," he says.
After your dad leaves, you begin to go as well, but you nearly run
into Obi-Wan as he comes in. "Hello," he says.
"Hi," you say, slightly without your usual enthusiasm but
that is understandable. You ask what the Council said to him. He tells
you that they just told him not to go there again, and he said okay.
He inquires about what your dad said to you. You say, "Well, he
yelled at me, which wasn't so bad because it was what I
deserved." You pause for a couple seconds. Obi-Wan knows there's
more, though. "Then," you say ruefully, "I guess he
sorta lost his temper." Obi-wan asks how, but adds that you son't
have to tell him if you don't want to, but you say ,"It wasn't
all that bad, all he did was thrash me." Obi-Wan just looks at
you with an odd look. "I know," you say. "I'm a little
to old to be punished like a child."
