"Barbara?" I said weakly. Dave muttered uncomfortingly:
"I think I hear bats..."
After having walked in heavy silence for a while, we finally found a
hallway with a torch lighting the way. I took it, and lighted the way
as we continued into a small room. I heard a small grumbling sound
coming from the walls. This was not good. I looked at Dave, who was
turning a faint blue colour.
"I don't think Barbara is very happy here," I muttered
sarcastically. Suddenly, one of the walls started shaking and the
stones that held it started tumbling. Dave and I looked around the
room in panic, not knowing where to go.
It was very dark in the basement. I had the impression that
thousands of hungry animals were staring at me through glowing eyes.
After all, I had not forgotten what the voice had told Dave and me. I
shuddered.
