You grew up a curious sort and learned all you could from every detail
you could soak in. You listened and spied on the conferences of the
elders as their spies came back with the news of the outside world.
You knew one day you would venture out into the world, very aware of
the dangers that exist.
The coins are a few of many that your people use as betting chips in
gaming rooms. Rooms that are coated in Boterium... a metal that
reflects any modern scanning mechanisms... so that your people and
their existance go unnoticed.
While in privacy, you reach into your pocket and pull out all your
coins. You have 14 pennies, 6 nickles, 8 dimes and 5 quarters. Two
dollars and fourty nine cents. Enough to maybe buy a whole planet! You
wonder what the paper money in your back pocket would
bring?
A plot begins to form in your head. You have been traveling by night
for months hiding in the daylight when necessary. You crossed the
great canal hiding on a sea vessel in a covered lifeboat. (at least
you hope these things still exist as you make up your story) Your
parents were great people in a small tribe of outcasts who escaped the
power of the southern rule generations ago and lived among the rocks,
survival by the earth a way of life. A people unknown and well hidden
to the modern Rules of the Continents and untraveled until this time.
