With the dog still posed in mid air, you slowly creep out the door
making sure that the huge dog will stay in position. Past the doorway,
as you arrive outside you can see soldiers marching in rows of 4 down
the main street of this unfamiliar town. The soldiers are well attired
in blue, white and red suites that have been buttoned up by polished
gold buttons. There are groups of medals on the soldiers suits pinned
up by gold braces hanging on their lightly colored pockets. In amongst
the sound of marching he can hear the beat of a band playing for the
soldiers. Still knowing that the dog was posed in mid air, you
suddenly find the urge to click your fingers in beat of the band.
Instantly, still while clicking your fingers, you can start to feel a
wet liquid on your shoulder. Petrified, you slowly turn around and are
confronted by the humongous dog that you had stopped. Still petrified
the dog moves slowly towards you and you start to crawl back very
slowly. Instantly, the lady who had put a spell or something on you.
She brang out her fingers, waving her hands in the air in, it seemed
like, some kind of traditional ritual or something. Suddenly, the same
sand that he had seen before, shot straight out her fingers and hit
the dog with such power that it hit the dog out the door and carrying
the dog away. Thank you so much you say as you scramble to your
feet. My name is Derin you say as you stagger over to greet her.
Derin she says A wise one I see. You take out your hand to greet
her. For a minute, she stares at you and your fingers and then walks
out the door signaling you to follow her. She leads you through the
door that you unknowingly walked into. The woman leads you through
sets of trees to a barn on a hilltop. She opens the door and shows you
to a room that is very old. It has a bed a cupboard and a sink. From
now on this shall be yours. You quickly take a look around and are
about to thank her when you turn and she is gone. You walk out the
door down the long corridor that she led you through. At the end of
the hallway is a room. As you grow nearer you can smell the scent of
food in the air. As you enter the room, you find the old woman at a
sink cutting some vegetables. You try to ask her about the marching
soldiers and the huge dog, but she just ignores
you.
